The 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™ list was revealed this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising fscom among the list of organisations in the ‘Small & Medium Organisations’ category.
fscom’s employees anonymously reported that the company’s approach to hybrid working, DEI and access to Leadership, were among the key areas that makes the company a Great Place To Work ®.
Introduced in early 2023, fscom’s hybrid working approach was co-designed with employees through surveys and focus groups to ensure it met diverse needs. Whilst other consultancies enforce the great return, fscom enables colleagues to find the balance whilst encouraging in-person collaboration days to maintain team culture. Against a backdrop of companies dialling down their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies, fscom colleagues scored their highest ratings in fair treatment across protected characteristics further showing the importance of DEI to retention of staff and the contribution to culture. Since its launch, employee engagement scores have increased by 15%.
One fscom colleague commented:
“The accessibility of genuine top tier experts in the field is an exciting aspect of the job. I find that everybody is willing to take time to support me in my work if I reach out. There is also a genuine inclusivity and good morale amongst the whole team.”
The Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™ list is created using the anonymous feedback from employees working in the industry about their workplace experience. These firms cover a diverse range of knowledge-intensive roles, from legal services to management consultancy, engineering, marketing and advertising, telecoms, real estate, recruitment, and travel management to name a few.
Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based consulting and professional services employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Analysis of the sector employee survey responses found:
- 87% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces for Consulting & Professional Services say “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work” compared to 69% at a typical company in this sector.
Jamie Cooke, CEO of fscom, said:
