fscom has appointed Jaspreet Kaur as Senior Manager in its payments advisory team. Jaspreet brings 16 years of experience across compliance, regulation, legal and tax.

Jaspreet joins fscom from a payments consultancy, where she advised firms ranging from regulated start-ups to PLCs on UK regulatory compliance. She worked closely with second-line and senior management at e-money institutions, payment services firms and banks.

Her career includes 11 years in compliance and regulatory roles, following earlier work in legal and taxation. At the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), she worked on a section 166 skilled person investigation relating to Libor in the aftermath of the financial crisis. At the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR), she advised on policy consultations and helped implement the regulator’s governance programme.

Jaspreet’s advisory work covers operational resilience, Consumer Duty, authorised push payment (APP) fraud and payments regulation. Having worked at the regulators, in-house and in advisory, she gives clients a rounded view of what regulators expect, how compliance works in practice, and how regulatory change is reshaping the payments sector.

At fscom, Jaspreet will work within the payments advisory team, providing practical insight drawn from her experience of advising businesses in regulated financial services. She will focus on helping second-line and senior management build confidence and direction in their compliance functions.

Alison Donnelly, Executive Director and Head of Payments at fscom, said:

“Jaspreet brings a strong combination of regulatory, in-house and advisory experience. She has seen compliance from the regulator’s side as well as the firm’s, and that perspective is extremely valuable for clients facing complex regulatory change. Her knowledge of the payments sector and her focus on supporting compliance leaders make her a great addition to our team.”

Jaspreet Kaur said:

“Having spent the last few years in compliance advisory, I’ve seen first-hand the depth of fscom’s payments expertise and the quality of its work with clients. I enjoy helping current and future compliance leaders build confidence in their functions, and I’m looking forward to bringing my regulatory and advisory experience to the team.”

The appointment comes during a period of growth for fscom, following its recent appointment to the FCA’s Skilled Persons Framework and participation in the FCA’s Supercharged Sandbox.
