The European Women Payments Network (EWPN) today announces an important leadership transition for its Ireland chapter. After six impactful years as the Country Ambassador for Ireland, Alison Donnelly, Head of Payments at fscom, will be stepping back into a supporting role, passing the baton to Louise Hogan, Senior Associate at A&L Goodbody and Elaine Tighe, Head of Marketing at fscom.
Alison Donnelly has been instrumental in driving EWPN’s mission of championing diversity, inclusion, and leadership within fintech and payments sectors in Ireland and Europe. Alison’s dedication was notably recognised when she won the prestigious EWPN Fintech and Payments Leader of the Year Award. Throughout her tenure, Alison successfully led numerous pioneering events on themes including neurodiversity, leadership perspectives from top fintech CEOs, and sustainability within the sector.
Speaking about Alison’s invaluable contributions, Melanie Ockerse from the EWPN Advisory Board said, “We extend our thanks to Alison for her unwavering support and dedication to EWPN over the past six years. Alison truly embodies the essence of EWPN, consistently demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and advocacy that have profoundly influenced our community.”
Reflecting on her journey with EWPN, Alison commented: “It has been an absolute privilege to be part of EWPN and to witness first-hand the positive impact our work has had in supporting women within fintech and payments. EWPN has allowed me to connect with amazing professionals, many of whom have become friends whose passion and commitment inspire me daily. I am excited to see Louise and Elaine take EWPN Ireland forward, and I look forward to continuing my support from a new perspective.”
Louise Hogan, an active supporter and advocate for EWPN, alongside Elaine Tighe, who has played an important part in organising the annual EWPN conferences and local events since 2019, are eager to build upon Alison’s legacy. Together, they plan to further amplify EWPN’s voice, extend its reach, and continue fostering a dynamic, inclusive network.
“I’m honoured to continue the amazing work Alison has done and to help lead EWPN Ireland into its next chapter,” said Louise.
Elaine added, “EWPN has given so much to the community—and to me personally I’m excited to take on this role and collaborate with Louise and our broader network to further our shared goals of inclusion, innovation, and support.”
EWPN expresses profound gratitude to Alison Donnelly for her outstanding contributions and warmly welcomes Louise Hogan and Elaine Tighe into their new roles, anticipating continued excellence and innovation in advancing EWPN’s core mission.
